help finding the artist
when I was a kid my Mom was a flower-power type and we always went to bluegrass shows, state fairs where people were smokin dope (Oregon) and I saw my fair share of women not wearing underwear. Those sundresses are something else for a boy to witness "things".
anyway ........... one song that has recently popped into my head that I remember her singing all the time was ".... and even though we aint got money - I'm sooo in love with ya honey ..... and in the moring when I rise, you bring a tear of joy to my eyes, and tell mee evveerryyything is gonna be all right ...." I know that there are two different versions (at least) but I'm looking for the name of the male artist. Any help?

You;re right. There were two artists that recorded it. The other was Anne Murray.

I'm pretty certain Kenny Loggins wrote the song and sang the original version, then Anne Murray did a cover on it and had the hit.

The Anne Murray version was several keys lower than the other version.
