Blitzkreig Bop
...is my 4 year old's favorite song. It just came on VH1 and she heard it from the other room, ran in and was moshing and singing along!
That's a good song Daddy! Damn, I love this kid!

Funny how an "edgy" 70s punk song is absolutely everywhere these days...

Gotta love the Ramones
(though I think Joey's probably doing barrel-rolls in his grave now that they use his song on a freakin' pre-paid cellphone commercial) |

I think he'd be thrilled to finally be making a buck. Oh wait, that's the Sex Pistols. Never mind.

In one of my college bands, we decided to learn about 6 Ramones songs in an hour and a half. Wonderfully easy, the crowd loved it, and we could play sets that lasted a full hour.
A buddy of mine was a tour manager for one of the bands at Lollapalooza. When they hit New Orleans, he got backstage all-access passes for me and a friend. While wandering around, we saw Joey Ramone. Both of us screamed out "Hey Joey!" He turned around, and neither one of us could thing of a friggin word to say, so we both went "Hey". He said "hey", waved, and walked on.

My 12-year-old daughter loves Blitzkreig Bop. I loaned her my "Ramones Mania" CD, and I'm not sure I'll ever get it back. Beats the hell outta that Shania Twain crap that Ms. Joebob was feedin' her.
