Damn Geddy Lee!

My daughter is a rabid fan of Rush, especially the early years. For days now, she has been obsessively listening to them and singing along! There she is with her ungodly high pitched voice, singing out of tune, doing her best to sound like Geddy Lee singing the songs from 2112. I have spent as much time outside lately as I possibly can!

"Ten Bucks is ten bucks, eh?"-Geddy Lee on the Great White North album.

Is it me or does Geddy look like a rat??

Oh, yeah, he really re-defines the term 'ugly.' My daughter thinks that he is one of the best looking guys on the planet!!!!

I've always liked them, don't get me wrong. It's my own fault that she even discovered them, I admit. I just wish that she wouldn't sing along!

OMG! Flashback. Plymouth Valiant-slant six-8-track player blasting: WE ARE THE PRIESTS OF THE TEMPLE...

Make it stop! Time to turn her on to STYX.

Or REO Speedwagon! Or Peter Frampton! Or April Wine! Or... well, just about anyone!

Did anyone see this month's issue of Guitar World? Keith Richards looks like those dolls that are made out of carved apples.

That should be enough of an anti-drug, anti-smoking message for anyone!

I think I'd like Rush a lot better if Geddy Lee didn't sound like a bitch

She is a styx fan. I think having her singing like Dennis De Young would be an improvement, but I have heard her sing riding the storm out, and it is dangerous.

Yup, 'We are the priests of the temples of syrinx.' First you hear that, and then you hear a window crack.

Geddy really wasn't that bad in the later years, when his voice started to burn out and he had to give up the squealing. On the last album they did, the remade 'The Seeker' by The Who. I used to rag her about it being 'The Squeeker.' It made her mad.

Think of it this way. It could be worse.

She could be a Christina or Britney fan.

At least she appreciates music.

I went to nerd camp (the "summer enrichment program" at the university of oregon) as a pre-teen, and took a class about science fiction. the only thing I remember is that we spent an inordinant amount of time listening to rush and styx....

luckily, i was not scarred for life.

Brian atleast she has good taste in music... I dig some of that 70s, and 80s music... To be honest its better than some of the crap that's out these days... But there are some good bands out today...
