The cigars are themed around a legendary oak tree once located in Hartford, Connecticut. The tree was planted by Native Americans as a ceremonial symbol of peace during the 12th century. It later went on to have significant meaning for early American settlers, hiding the Charter of 1662 within a cavity of the oak. This charter granted the colonists an unusual degree of autonomy, prompting Charter Oak to become known as one of our country’s greatest symbols of American independence.

The Charter Oak CT Habano takes on the high flavor / low cost proposition set forth by the Charter Oak series, bridging the light and dark wrappers of the original cigars with a Habano-wrapped smoking experience. This includes an all-Nicaraguan binder/filler and a classic Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, with the cigars being crafted at the famed Tabacalera A.J. Fernández factory in Nicaragua. This is a special combination that allows for a high-grade performance at a shockingly low price point. The cigar lights up with a medium body and classic Habano characteristics of red pepper, zesty cabinet spices, buttered toast, and sweet caramel through the finish.
