Ok Cigar #3 Given to us By Solomr2
My favorite so far, but lets see what we get!! Comments were: “I have no more doubts, this cigar is no good” or “I would recommend this smoke” Well lets get to the reviews! HERFULES PRE-SMOKE Appearance and Construction: Light Brown Corona with a medium texture and small veins. It was smooth, firm and had a slightly oily sheen. Nice construction. 4 of 5. Burn: Burned evenly. Ash was dark gray. 5 of 5. Draw: Perfect. 5 of 5. Aroma: Faint, slightly sweet aroma, pleasant. No burn in throat. 5 of 5. SMOKE Flavor: Medium richness and good balance. Mild side of mild-medium strength with mild body. There was a subtle sweetness and slightly earthy taste early. An occassional metallic hint.7 of 10. Taste/Aftertaste: Fading sweetness, no bitterness, no tongue burn, light sharpness and occassional saltiness. 8 of 10. SUMMARY Overall: Agreeable, thin-to-mild body. Good to great cigar. 7 of 10. The ash made me wonder if this might be a habanos as I have only seen that dark-gray color of ash on habanos. The near absence of twang or tongue-numb (or tongue burn) made me wonder otherwise. This cigar did change some about halfway through. It started fairly mild, but at the halfway point it caught my attention. I did sense slight twanginess (or tongue-numb) at the halfway point on which grew only faintly stronger down to the nub. I would recommend this smoke. 42 of 50. HENRY PRE SMOKE Appearence and Construction: Score __2___ out of 5 Color: Maduro Texture: medium Cap/ Head: smooth Bunch: firm Burn: Score __3___ out of 5 Burn: even coal: cone ash color: dark grey ash structure; typical problems: none Draw: Score __2___ out of 5 draw ; tight Aroma: Score __1___ out of 5 aroma: crap Burn in throat: light Pre-Smoke Comments: SMOKE Flavor: Score __1___ out of 10 Richness: weak Balance: one dimensional strength: full of awfulness body:; mild flavor: bad Tast/ Aftertaste: Score ___1__ out of 10 sweetness: none bitterness: pronounced burn on tongue: light sharpness: ; light saltiness: light Smoke Comments: This stinks something awful Summary: overall quality: __2__ out of 10 Character: bad body: stinks scale: dog rocket Summary comments: This stinks something awful Total Score 9 out of 50 GARGIRL PRESMOKE Appearance & Construction: 2/5 color: Maduro texture: veiny cap/head smooth bunch:hard Burn:3/5 burn: even coal: cone ash color: dark grey ash structure: typical problems : none Draw: 1/5 draw: very tight Aroma: 1/5 aroma: faint burn in throat: light Pre Smoke Comment: I will give it the benefit of the doubt. Flavor: 2/10 richness: weak balancene dimensional strenght:bland body:mild flavor: weak Taste/Aftertaste: 2/10 sweetness: none bitterness:medium burn on tongue: light sharpness: light saltiness: light Smoke comments: I have no more doubts, this cigar is no good. Summary: 3/10 character: lackluster body: thin scale: poor Summary Comments: One step above smoking straw. Overall Sore 14 out of 50 SOLOMR2 PRE-SMOKE Appearance & Construction: 4/5 Color: Natural, slightly reddish tan Texture: Medium Cap/Head: Medium Bunch: Hard Burn: 3.5/5 Burn: Even Coal: Very slight cone Ash Color: Dark Gray Ash Structure: slightly more solid than typical Problems: very slight runner at first, corrected by itself Draw: 1/5 Tight, almost plugged Aroma: 4/5 Aroma: round and fragrant Burn in throat: very light Pre-Smoke Comments: Attractive 5 inch cigar with a slight box press - almost octagon shaped. The natural wrapper was almost perfect, with a slightly reddish tinge, very small veins, and nicely capped. Unfortunately, mine was very tightly packed, and the draw was almost plugged and barely smokeable. The cigar had a very pleasing earthy, farm-like tobacco aroma. SMOKE Flavor: 6.5/10 Richness: medium Balance: nearly perfect Strength: medium to full Body: medium to generous Flavor: generous, earthy, with slight woody undertone Taste/Aftertaste: 6.5/10 Sweetness: none Bitterness: none Burn on Tongue: very slight Sharpness: light Saltiness: none Smoke Comments: Unfortunately, due to the tight draw I couldn't really enjoy this cigar much. What flavor and taste I could get from it was very pleasant and good. It had a nice earthy flavor and aroma, with a slight undertones of charred wood and pepper. I found it to be a good balance between power and flavor, but againthis could have been impacted by the tight draw. SUMMARY: Overall Quality: 6/10 Character: pedigreed Body: generous and satisfying Scale: good to great Summary Comments: It figures that I get a plugged cigar from the bunch I donated, oh well. I could have chucked it and lit another one out of my humi, but to be fair I stuck with it. These smokes have been aging in my humi for nearly 1 year, so it has been a long time since I last tasted one, and sleep has done them good. This cigar had a good balance of flavor and power, a great aroma, and solid tobacco flavors. I probably would have scored it higher if it had not been plugged. In the next few days I will smoke another one for comparison. TOTAL SCORE: Total: 31.5 DECASERE PRESMOKE Appearance & Color Color: Natural/reddish hue Texture: Medium Cap: Smooth Bunch: Firm Burn: Burn: Even Coal: cone Ash Color: dark Grey/black Structure Very Solid Problems: none at all Draw: PERFECT!! Aroma: Aroma: Fragrant and Round Burn in Throat Light PRESMOKE COMMENTS: This was the best cigar so far for me from the beginning, smells great, with what flipflop would call a light chicken poop smell. Nice SMOKE Flavor Richness: Ample Balance: Perfect Strength: Med Body: Generous Flavor: Generous, earthy, TWANG, spicy Taste/Aftertaste: Sweet: Light Bitter: none Burn on tounge: Light Sharpness: light Saltiness none Smoke Comments: This cigar hit me right away with lots of spicyness, wow!! Then about ½ inch into it it produced that typical Habano type twang and earthy/creaminess. Great smoke. SUMMARY Overall Quality Character: Pedigreed, Distinguished Body: generous Scale: Great/Outstanding Summary Comments THE BEST cigar so far, by far, I am putting my reputation on the line, but this tastes like a Cuban and the ash was dark grey with black rings. Is this a Cohiba Siglo 1??? Overall Score 45 out of 50 OK solomr2 what was it, am i right or not??? say yes. "My boy!
