Edicion Limitada Cohiba Piramides
Wrapper: Colorado Maduro, thin veins, a bit dense, simply a joy to look at. Construction and Draw: Outstanding construction, very clean cap, solid and firm feel, no soft spots evident. Draw was perfect. Flavor profile: Started off intense on the earthy side, slight floral on the finish, very acidic on the palate. After about half inch, flavors became less earthy and floralness disappeared. Rest of the cigar became well balanced, with more sweet spicy flavors coming alive, and this fantastic long finish with this intense honey like flavor hitting the back of the palate. Complexity was layered and changed from time to time from earth to sweet, and seemed to develop sweet/honeyed array of flavors as the cigar smoked down. It started out powerful, but most of the cigar was in the medium power range with loads of rich flavors that is typical of what makes Cohiba one of the best cigars in the world. Final Thoughts: When people think of Cohiba, one thinks of cigar excellence second to none. You imagine greatness that only this cigar brand can produce. This cigar will not disappoint. It is one of the best tasting cigars out there, with its intense complexity; it will please a wide range of fine cigar smokers. Not a powerhouse but a level of richness that well represents what makes Cohiba one of the best cigars on the planet. For such a young cigar, they tasted like well-aged cigars, not a hint of bitterness, or ammonia, typical of young cigars; these were smooth, rich and flavorful. Rating: 95
