Romeo y Julieta Petit Corona 1970's

"Change of Pace"

I haven't had a chance to smoke since Monday morning. After work and light meal I decided to dig around in the humidor and find a much need smoke. I dug around in a box that i keep various singles. I forgot i had this cigar, its been at the bottom of the box for 6 or 7 months now.

The band has a beautiful brown sheen to it. A dry claro wrapper, with a evenly dusted plume.

From the get go, a nice clean acidity was present. Crisp and refreshing. Classic Romeo tang, with a lovely honey sweetness and dry earthly undertone. The clean acidity continued to mellow while picking up in earthiness. The aroma was amazing. I held the head of the cigar up to my noise after each puff, which revealed fruit and sawdust aromas. Long finish/aftertaste, very balanced, crisp, and subtle. With an inch to go I tasted a very subtle wasabi flavor.

Finished it with a tooth pick. A much need refreshing change of pace.

Merry Christmas
