ASH "Experience" - Double Robusto

ASH "Experience" - Double Robusto (52 X 5) in natural wrapper

I understand these to be all Mexican tobacco (?).

A beautifully presented cigar, the cedar wrapping and band perfectly aligned and printed.

A blond wrapper that was smooth to the touch with a light sheen and light veining. A good looking wrapper for sure.

The construction was top-notch with a perfect draw to the cigar. It burned straight as an arrow with plenty of smoke.

I enjoyed the flavor profile. I was fearing a "Te Amo" but got nothing of the sort. It was earthy with full tobacco flavor, kinda leaning to the sweet side. But not the dirt-earthy I get from most Mexican smokes. I found it hard to put my finger on the flavors I was experiencing, there was a kind of tobacco-sweetness in the background, but not spicy-sweet or sugary-sweet. Lets just suffice to say it was a medium body, earthy tobacco cigar.

With about 1 inch left it started to get bitter, so I pitched it.

Bottom line: I really enjoyed this cigar. It had a full earthy tobacco flavor with interesting background flavors.

Do not be scared off by the Mexican tobacco aspect.
