Partagas Serie D No.4

What a lovely looking cigar - fat ring gauge, and nice sensible length. Nice medium brown (flawless) wrapper and a fantastic Serie series red, plain band.

Cigar cut and lit perfectly well, and produced a fine early (and throughout) draw - never a burn issue, never a wrapper issue.

Early part of the cigar smoked really really slowly, and i was probably going a little too quick so must have been really steady. Low smoke volume, but great aroma.

Early stages a little green, but I must say, a green that worked quite nicely. Certainly some farmyard, but definite cucumber type flavours going on. As we went on, the cigar got more woody, some spice - never bitter, and always a joy.

Out of ten, this one gets a high 8, possibly 9 for me - superb, if a little pricey.
