God of Fire Serie B 2010 Robusto Gordo (5.5x54)

A nice, dark, chocolate colored, oily looking, rich, smooth, Colorado Maduro wrapper. With a smooth cap and firm bunch with just a little give.
Burn was slightly uneven until the last 3rd, with a short, conical coal and light grey, strong ash and a perfect draw with high smoke volume and subtle but fragrant aroma and no burn in the throat.

Flavor was of ample richness, perfect balance consisting of woody and herbal flavor, mild strength, medium body and medium flavor.

No sweetness, bitterness or saltiness, and light burn on the tongue and light sharpness.

Overall a near perfect, elegant character, just plain great cigar.
It certainly aged very well and still had lots of flavor and was very smooth.

Overall score: 92 out of 100

As usual, always appreciate any feedback and constructive criticism of my reviews, so please feel free to comment on my style, which is quite different than you usually see, or anything else about it or how to improve on it.

Pretty new to full reviews and always looking to improve on them

I try to stick to just the facts almost completely and with as little opinion as possible.

@jefslat

Thanks. Nice to hear, especially coming from you

Did you post a review of yours and I missed it? Didn't intend to double up on the same cigar and/or "step on your toes" implying your review wasn't enough and we needed another. My apologies if so.

I also smoked a God of Fire 2011 Don Carlos Robusto a little while ago and it was excellent as well.

Will have to buy 1 recent production one to try and see if they are too strong young like the Opus X's and Anejos and only become smokable for me after mellowing for at least 5 years or not.

I'm admittedly not an Opus/Anejo/God of Fire knowledgeable person, even though I loved them and smoked many in my early days of smoking, and now because I just can't handle the strength of flavor on young ones, so have slowly gifted or traded off all the ones I went nuts stocking up on a while back not knowing my palate had dramatically changed over time.

I have only smoked these 2 God of Fires and a few 2016 varieous specific Opus X's, with a few more left, recently and they are excellent after mellowing out for 5 years minimum.

I just dont have the space or honestly, inclination, to age any cigars myself, and likely wouldn't much like the price of 5+ year aged ones, so have been slowly and very appreciatively been enjoying the ones I was gifted.

No worries. It was a gift from a friend and I decided to just enjoy smoking it.
