Exotic Wood Humidors

I'm presently on my third (in four months!) humidor construction project. The first was a violin-case-sized, cedar and poplar lined solid oak box. The second, a vertically-styled cabinet with double doors, also utilized solid oak for the exterior, with cedar and mahogany lining. Now I have elected to construct an 18 by 14 by 7 inch deep tabletop model. The front, sides and back are of 7/8 inch thick Morado (a.k.a. Bolivian rosewood) lined with 1/2 inch thick Spanish cedar and South American mahogany. I intend to install a "false bottom" recessed humidification device which will vent into the main portion of the humidor. Has anyone experimented with this technique or with Morado wood? I'd be curious to know others' experiences if they have.
