The Humi-pouch uses a treated mesh material to maintain moisture. The problem is that it isn't much better than PG. It will maintain humidity, but it can vary significantly.

I can place a digital in a Humi-pouch and watch it vary across about a 12% range under various conditions.

I place that same digital in a Fuente Humidor bag that is using the Humidi-pak technology and I see ZERO variance across those same conditions. I can do things to change the RH in them which I'm trying to track down, because it doesn't make sense. But, I've tested almost every one of them. NOTHING is engineered to maintain humidity as accurately as the Humidi-paks. If there is a variance, I still can not detect it using several extremely accurate digitals. That is why I use a Fuente Humidor bag with the Humidi-pak technology to calibrate digital hygrometers. Nothing else even comes close so far.
