Humidor Help

As a newbie to cigars I was very excited when I got my Gettysburg humidor from Bargain Humidors. I stupidly never "seasoned" it. I filled up the Oshkosh Humidifier with the Elixir solution 1/4 inch from the top as instructed and put it in the humidor for 24 hours. The Western Caliber II read 68f and 65% so I figured everything was OK. The Humidifier spilled when I moved it to put in my cigars so I used a paper towel and wiped up the solution. I have the humidor pretty well filled up with cigars and cigar boxes. The temp reading is fine 68F but the humidity reading is only 60%.
How can I rectify this? Please help.
