Can't get the humidity down.

Everytime I open my humi over the past couple months, it's showing about 74%. I have 65% climmax beads in there.

I recently brought the humi from nearly empty to overflowing. Could it be from the cigars being shipped wet or something? I tried emptying out half of the climmax beads and putting dry beads in there to soak up some extra moisture.

It's a relatively new digital hygrometer. Any suggestions?
