I highly doubt they have their humidors in the same room as their humidification system. They probably have them stored in a warehouse and the humidor is in a polybag with styrofoam in a cardboard box. They are located in Miami, like me, so the humidity here is high. Many people get their humidors and they already read 70%, but I tell them all the same thing. Still set it up the correct way, calibrate the hygrometer, and give it at least a week. Patience is key and king. It isn't so much as a false positive reading, as much as the humidor not being subjected to the proper humidity to "break it in" correctly. It is better to be safe than sorry. Besides that thing had to ship from Florida to where-ever you are located, and if you are in the northern states it is pretty cold and dry up there. Just my $.02 worth.
