Oasis going nuts?

I've had an Oasis (II?) for about 2 years or more and it's held 65% with the dial right smack in the center. I have a 300 count humi, which you can see in the photos link below. Recently, I had a bettle invasion and had to chuck that funny filter thingy in the Oasis. Still, it worked fine. Now I've packed the Humi after buying a couple of bundles and its the first time it's up to the rim. Can't get the humi above 62. I've turned the dial about 1/3 turn higher and nothing. Could my Oasis have gone kaput or could it be the higher number of sticks or .....? Not sure what the life expectancy of the Oasis is or if the filter thingy could have something to do with it....
