The only way to get rid of the smoke and odor is to get the smoke out. Filters can help, but the more you smoke the worse it gets. And with a few people smoking it's going to get bad.

In my man cave I have an exhaust fan. It's the type of fan one would have in a basement workshop. In fact, when we bought the house that's what it was. I moved it to the finished side of the basement and I use it to allow me to smoke in the man cave. It works wonderfully well. You can't smell smoke anywhere else in the house. And even in the basement there is no lingering smoke smell. The smoke isn't around long enough. The smoke exists almost immediately. The leather furniture also helps.
