I started with an XI2 but switched to the Palio (thanks again for the great deal, Mike). I'm much happier with the Palio. That does not say anything about the XI or XI3, just that I think the XI2 is kinda iffy.

I have one that was some kind of special with
CAO cigars sampler. I normally would not have bought one but it was cheap with the cigars (was it MD's cigars..?)....Anyway works great for me but so does the free/cheap plastic ones from Dees. I'm not picky about cutters, lighters...etc

I have the original X1 and used it until I got a SAK and that retired it.

I have one of the Xi1 metal cutters, and it works great - you just need to get the hang of it.

I would sometimes borrow the "display model" Xi2 at my local guy's shop, but it ALWAYS stuck and was a pain in the butt, so I wouldn't recommend the Xi2.

I've tried neophyte's Xi on several occasions. It works OK but I carry a Prometheus V cutter and my trusty SAK cutter both of which I prefer to the Xicar.

no complaints with my Xi2. The handle came apart and I sent it in for a prompt replacement. I have been pleased.
