question about aging
I was reading the G.L. Pease F.A.Q. thread about aging and I have a question...
Is there any way to tell how long an unopened tin is aged when you buy it? I have never seen any dates on the tins. Any ideas about this?

The C&D and MacBaren Tins I have received have dates on them, none of the other brands seem to though. I assume most people just write the date received on them.

Yeah, I just date my jars when I get the tobacco. I noticed that my HH Latakia Flake does have the date on the tin. "April 2015". All my other tobacco tins do not. My bulk tobaccos I put in jars immediately upon receiving and threw out the bags.

If the tins have dates, I highlight them. If they have no dates, I put the date I purchased them. I put purchase dates on all my jars.
