I'm late to the party but as far as places to buy cigars at great prices, check out some of the retailers that advertise here. JR's has some of the best prices out there and a great selection too, just don't let him get hooked on the "JR Alt" marketing.
 From your comments about setting up a room just for his toys it sounds like he is a pretty lucky guy.
