Thinking of refitting one of these with cedar shelves. What say ye? About $2700 delivered inside.

That looks awesome; but let me ask you this: for that kind of money can't you get something you don't have to retrofit?

Nope. Not of that size and with climate control. Not even close. Look at a comparably priced Avallo or Aristocrat. And I'm going to reuse my Habitat Monitor with active humidifier.

The racks are simple aluminum and wood block construction. Should be a piece of cake to remove them. Looks like the interior is already natural wood, so mounting some cleats and slipping slotted cedar shelves in should be straightforward. My best guess, using average corona gorda box dimensions, is about 175 or so boxes if I use 4 shelves. And fellas, let me tell ya, I need me some cooling. It's 82 in my closet right now.

Straight out the back, Gary. That's why it has to be out off the wall. They say 6", but with a deflector to push the air up and a 10' celieng I bet 4" would be fine. I've had a 200 btl Vinotemp for years and it works just fine. I also ran a Vinotemp through the wall for my cellar for years with no trouble. It's going to make fan noise, but then so does my fridge.

The glass doors raise the price considerably. Have a look at this one for $2089 through the door (unfinished):
Add $200 or so for dark cherry.
