No clue about humidors
I have been searching online for a humidor for my boyfriend's birthday present. I have only gotten more confused with all the choices, so I thought I would bring my questions here. I know they are probably pretty simple, but I don't want to get him a piece of junk.
First off, he smokes cigars maybe once every couple of weeks, but that is because he doesn't have anywhere to keep them fresh. I want to get one that can hold a reasonable amount, but not a ridiculous amount. There are some that have glass tops and some that are all wood. Do they work the same? And most I see have a cedar inside... does it matter what the wood outside is? What other things should I get with it so he can use it right away? Cutters or what? And does it come with everything you need except these accessories? Finally, what is a reasonable price range I should be looking for? Any good places that have quality products and won't rip you off? Sorry about all the questions. Any advice is good advice to me! Thanks! |

There are so many variables in buying a humidor, we'd need a flowchart to talk you through it. Best advice I can give you is to go to bargainhumidors.com or cheaphumidors.com and find one that you think he'll like and in your price range.
Both these websites sell okay stuff and will take returns. If you find one you like, post the link here and someone should be able to tell you what they think about that model. Also, it doesn't matter if it has a glass top or not. That's more for asthetics than function. Good luck.

go to cigarmony.com, or heartfeltindustires.com and lookup Palio for the cutter, they also sell humidors in various sizes and price ranges, pick what you think he would like and what is in your budget, that should get you what you need..

The basic things he'll need is a humidor, cutter and a lighter. If the humidor comes with a standard analog hygrometer, he'll want a digital hygrometer (the thing that tells you if its at the right humidity).
Good luck! dylan

Or you could just post a few pics of yourself with a shipping address, and you'd likely have a half dozen humidors shipped to you by next week.
Just kidding. You sound like a very sweet girl.
