the laphroaig price sounds really good. I've seen that for much more - is that the 3/4 liter size, 1 liter?

All of those are good prices. Those are three fairly different scotches and I couldn't recommend one over the other. Any good scotch collection needs a wide variety. I agree with jazznut, get all three.
