Draw tool badly cracking wrappers
It only happens when I use it on one brand of Coronas . I push slow, from the foot and only poke around the center . Any suggestions appreciated

Draw pokers almost always crack wrappers in my experience. If you're consistently having problems with just one cigar, moisture and temp are likely ok. If this is happening with other vitolas, I would suggest investigating those factors. I have no knowledge of the number of cigars, brands of cigars or even the size of your humidor, so it's hard to judge.
I think it's reasonable to suggest you skip that sort of cigar?

Haven't had any cigars with draw issues in years, but on the rare occasion I used a long drill bit.

If you're talking about the old Draw Poker tool, I never found that one to work very well and it damaged more cigars than it saved. I've been using the PerfecDraw tool for a while now and this one works really well with no damage at all, even on Lanceros.

Use a small nail? or a drill bit? Maybe a corn-on-the-cob pick or a wooden skewer. Slow and steady wins the race.

if your tool is the "Perfect Draw" - well then they have a video of how to do it on their website. It's a fantastic tool. Keep it in my locker at the cigar lounge and I've helped a few folks get the draw sorted on cigars.
