Couple things, Doug. Remember, that production during that time was not meant to be aged, the factories had already done that. After sitting for nearly 20 years, the flavors may have "aged" away. With mostly Jamaican filler, it was likely mild-bodied anyway. Lots of folks were and are into aging, but that started mostly as a response back then to the "young" cigars that Havana was putting out. The "domestic" guys were into aging the tobacco, and then the finished product in the factory for a set time to be ready for immediate consumption upon purchase.
IF these still have some flavor, enjoy them.
