Street Tacos Barbocoa

Edgar Hoill gave me a couple of these last week when we were in the Dallas area. It has dark oily wrapper. The cold draw is perfect. Tonight’s beverage is a shot of Milagro Anejo Tequila.

The initial flavors are like a sweet taco with touches of meat and cheese. The ash is cracking a bit but the burn is perfect.

In the first third the taco notes have settled into a very pleasant flavor profile with a good sweetness over the tobacco notes. The ash is solid and the burn remains steady.

During the second third the flavor profile remains steady. It is medium bodied and very flavorful. The ash remains solid and drops at intervals. The burn remains steady.

Approaching the final inch some oils are showing up on the wrapper. The flavor profile remains steady and very tasty. It has strengthened to medium-full but remains very flavorful. The ash and burn remain steady.

9.1/10, for a pre-release. When they hit the shelves, Joe Bob says definitely check it out.

Smoked a toro last night ROTT. Maybe a little "wet". Excellent oily cigar. Very smooth enjoyable for first 2/3s. Last 1/3 a little bitter. Maybe needs time to acclimate and also I smoke too quickly. Overall enjoyed this cigar especially since I thought it may be gimmicky.

Gonna have to give this one a try. I've yet to hear a bad review of these.

Nice review.
Simple and to the point without a bunch of extra, unnecessary, flowery writing like some reviews

I just try to give a basic "feel" for the cigar without going all halfwheel on it.

Exactly. That's my plan too.

Lol, halfwheel was exactly who I was thinking of as an example of way too much extra/flowery language.

Yeah, I tend to categorize a cigar into "liked" and "didn't like". If a woody, leathery, coffee-ish or chocolately just muscles it towards the front, I'll mention it. Otherwise, it goes into those 2 categories. 35+ years of Marlboro Reds took the edge off my tastes.
