Wrappers
Ok, I'm a newbie, so be easy on me, but I had a few questions about wrappers. First of all, I've heard a lot about cooking or using dye for maduros. I've heard that some reputable companies like Perdomo do this. Does anyone know who does this???
Second, I recently received a Don Thomas in a trade and it had a green wrapper. What's up with this? Not fermented? Good/bad?? I haven't tried it yet. Now that I think about all of this talk about wrappers.... it's my understanding that "maduro" only refers to the wrapper - is this right? So are the fillers the same? If so, I can't imagine it making that big of a difference in taste.... Sorry, guess, still learning!!!
