At least in the smokers' lounge in the airport.
What an encouraging development this is. I hope it succeeds.

Nice to see cigars are allowed. I wonder if pipes are as well?

I can remember numerous incidents over the past 20 years where I was told that cigars or pipes were not allowed in various "smoking" areas, but cigarettes were OK. I guess they didn't want to be shamed by the good stuff.

The airport smoking "lounges" I've been in have a very very heavy stale cigarette smell. Most are just an small enclosure. There are a few exceptions but on the whole...

I visited the one in Atlanta once.
Packed with cigarette smokers furiously puffing away.
I smoked a little cigar, but I couldn't really taste it.
That was one place where the secondhand smoke might kill ya.

I want to fly into the airport just to say I've done it....sounds silly, I know.

In a few of the terminals there are smoking 'bars'. They are attached to a restaurant/bar in the terminal and you can be served there. Love those when i'm traveling with the wife.

I've smoked a cigar in the Salt Lake airport. Seems about the same as the Atlanta one, a lot of cigarette smokers. What's weird is the cigarette smokers looked at me like I was the weird one!

There need to be more of these to build acceptance.
