Moving with cigars
Anyone done it on a long distance military move? At some point in the next 90-150 days, we'll be on our way from Alaska to Washington (state.) Canada allows the importation of up to 50 cigars per person. I'll be driving out alone while Mrs. Legends and Legendettes fly out.
I have an end table cabinet with 65% beads plus a Cigar Oasis. The CO is not battery powered. I see several options: 1. Saturate the beads and CO, wrap everything up (that I don't plan on smoking on my way across Canada) as well as possible and let the movers take it. This is the easiest yet most risky (quality) option. Our household goods could be in transit for 6-8 weeks (worst case scenario.) 2. Stick the Legendor in the back of the Legendmobile and drive it out. As long as Customs (Canada or the U.S.) doesn't want a look inside, I'd be ok and I would know the cigars are safe and sound. The drawback here is that I can't lug the Legendor in and out of the car each night and I would run the risk of something happening while they were resting overnight. 3. Mail them out to someone else for temporary storage. I know a couple people with enough space but it would be on the expensive side and I risk damage or loss of the packages. 4. Is there another way? What would you do?
