The Penquins
Do you remember that group? There biggest hit was Earth Angel. But, they also recorded The Memories of El Monte, which was written by Frank Zappa.

IMO, good music died in the mid 60s. There was some good music in the mid 70s. Doo Wop of the 50s and early 60s, provided some of greatest R&R vocalists ever. All music from the late 70s until the present, suck.

That's a rather sweeping statement. Open your ears. Lots of crap since the 60s, but a lot of good music too.

Excuse me, but I am entitled to my opinion. You're entitled to yours. There aren't any good vocalists today and for along time. Today's music is all cookie cutters. Justin Beiber is a joke. Lady Gaga is awful. Need I go on?
