Humidification Beads

Hey there. A few days ago I added a nice fat tube of humidification beads and I'm wanting to make sure everything is ok. I doused em (I know I shouldn't have but hey, I did) with distilled water and then let em drip dry and I place them in the bottom of my humidor. Unfortunately I haven't seen a huge change, actually my humidor is sitting at 59%. Should I add a nice paper towel on top of a bag soaked with distilled water to get it to 65%? What should I do or am I overreacting? Thanks everyone!!!!
