Xikar cutters

How often do you guys get yours re-sharpened? Mine's going on 3 years and it definitely does not work as good as when it was new. I am thinking about sending it in.

I get a ton of use out of mine (I use it cut customers' cigars when I'm working at the shop), and I go about every year. Normal use, 2 or 3 years sounds about right.

If you haven't tried this yet, take a Q-tip, dip it in alcohol, and wipe down the cutting edges. You may not have to send it back (yet).

I'd been using mine for almost 3 years and decided to send it in for a re sharp. Well I broke my back-up Xikar and by how it was cutting I should have sent my regular one off alot sooner.

That is what happened to me. I know have a couple Palios and gave my Xikar away.

Wouldn't buy one again.
