I re-charge my tubes of beads by putting them in Tupperware with a paper towel soaked with DIW so that the beads never actually touch the water. It takes a week until they look re-charged but I prefer it to directly soaking the beads.

I use at least twice as many beads as recommended by Heartfelt. You can never have too many and this allows me to take some out for re-charging.

I use the 65% beads - they keep my humidors rock solid in humidity and my cigars smoking great.
