So when did you start "tasting" your cigars?

OK, revealing the true extent of my newbie-ness here.

At what point did you truly begin to be able to discern the various tastes in a cigar?

Though I enjoy smoking a cigar, I've yet to truly discern any distinct taste differences. I've never had a maduro as of yet and most of my smokes have been of the "mild" variation, but I'm not sure if that is to blame or not.

Thoughts? Do I just need to keep smoking away, and wait for the sensations to come?

*EDIT*Hmmm...I guess this will work here, really meant it to be in Smokin Post.
