Humidity help

I just got a new 40 cubic ft humi. I know the wood is dry and it came with a Bemis humidifer. I think I am in the break in period but have some flux in % humid 65%-75%. I don't think the Bemis has ever kicked on by itself. I know that I am somewhat Anal and the humi should settle down with some time but does anybody know if a demand controller other than Avallo product that calls for the moisture? I know that I also need to put a couple of circulation fans in place. Anybody have any ideas?
