I suspect you mean the "invitation" to the World Cup? Because she, and others, will certainly decline the invite to the White House, should they win.

Took the words right out of my mouth, Stan.

Was it good sportsmanship? Doubtfully. Classy? Much no.

Good strategy to make in to the knockout rounds? Oh yes.

It also puts a target square on their backs as the one to beat. Put the arrogant Americans in their place.

In the words of Dizzy Dean, "it ain't bragging if you can do it."

was the golf clap more acceptable?

to the game, Carli Lloyd is going to make other teams have to adjust

I wish the USMNT had a reason to have that kind of swagger

Yes indeed. Berhalter brings back Jozy and Bradley, both of whom are well past their primes. Jozy's best days were 10 years ago, now.

I am old school. I still can’t believe that Americans watch soccer.

it doesn't make any sense but the USMNT is in such disarray it may be a very long time before they are relevant in any international competition

Germany looks strong, Spain will be a formidable opponent for USNWT

I was thinking the same thing. Might be their first real test of the tournament.

England would have been challenged by a good team, Cameroon is not a good team..
