Andy, I see the Zippo in the pic above. The weather here in SoCal has been great. I have been smoking more outdoors. I find the Zippo pipe lighter works best in outdoor breezy conditions. Took me awhile to learn how to best use the Zippo pipe lighter to light the pipe, but I did figure it out. It really is the best outdoor pipe lighter IMO.

Mike, I have butane pipe lighter inserts in my Zippos. Never got the hang of the Zippo pipe lighter and I really don't like the taste and mess of the lighter fluid.

C&D Burley Flake #3 in a Savinelli Roma 623. I've got some GH Happy Brown Bogie on the tray drying for my next bowl.

I just use a soft flame bic. Works very well. I have the Zippo pipe lighter, but you constantly have to add fuel. Theoretically, the Zippos will impart a taste, but all you have to do is let the flame burn for a few seconds after you light it. I just find the bics to be far better.

Both tobaccos are great. Always a pleasure to smoke.
