I heard the new Tom Petty song last night (The Last DJ)...I must say that, although a usual fan, he sounded a bit like a thorougly stoned Bob Dylan. Any other thoughts?

I was never a big fan of his at all, but his earlier days certainly were kinder to him.
the duet w/Stevie Nicks was one of his best IMHO.

Got the CD for Christmas, listened to it a few times through now.

To be honest I think the titletrack is one my least favorites, keeps getting played over and over again. Good album IMHO.
