missionaries to the baptists

our church choir sang as an "honor choir" at a church music publisher's convention last evening.
We were the first contemporary christian music ever presented in their convention.
Our music? Black gospel and just about anything else you can imagine converted into gospel - C&W, calypso, tejano, even hip hop.
About one-fourth of the audience left after the first couple of songs.
(we were raising our hands and I don't think they wanted to be contaminated by that stuff.)
We did make them stand up and sing along. Some were actually clapping along by the end.
Actually, the people that stayed "got it". We had church.
We always make fun of baptists.
