My Hearthware Gourmet is roasting fine. I've done about 10 to 12 batches by now.
Hearing the second crack is still challenging for me. Maybe I should replace my hearing aid batteries... I was wondering how many of you use a thermometer to monitor your roast? I've bought the silly thing but still have to install it. I figure going by temp as well as sound will give me a more accurate idea of how dark I am roasting. Do you use a thermometer or just sight and sound?
