I preface this review by saying,I have smoked the Connecticut wrapped version of these and found them mild and bland..but well-made!
These..on the otherhand were simply..SUBLIME!!! The look of these are Dark, oily and mouthwatering! Pre-light Aroma: Smelled of spices and licorice with a candy sweet smell. Burn: Punched and lit well with a RAZOR straight burn and an ash that held for almost 2 inches. These vitola's were perfectly constructed and well-filled with a generous amount of tobbacco! Draw: Absoluteley perfect with just enough tug and volumes of generous smoke. Taste: There are not enough adjectives to describe the taste of this cigar! It changed constantly from sweet spices, chocolate, vanilla, licorice, white pepper and Dark Roast Coffee flavors! This cigar was extremeley complex with a medium body and I was thoroughly impressed! There was no-bitterness as I believe these tobbaccos to be very well-aged! Bottom line: Just a fantastic cigar that will really satisfy you from beginning to end! Thank God I have a whole box! September 11,2001..GOD BLESS US |

I had a CT-wrapped Savinelli ELR *once* that matched your description of "sublime". But when I bought more of them, they were closer to mild and bland.
But that's a great price. If I remember correctly, these are made by the Fuentes. |

Smoked some CT wrapped recently that were about three years old. Much better than younger ones I have tried. From your description I will have to try these. Great review!!
