New Allman Brothers CD

Has anyone picked up the new anthology that they put out, "Stand Back?" I heard some of it the other day at UMG and I was quite impressed. It spans their entire career which they had failed to do with their previous greatest hits collections. I would suggest that anyone whose a fan or who wants to familiarize themselves with them to check it out.

Hey Duane,

Welcome to the boards! You should check out the music forum. go up to "usergroups" and find the "toot, whistle, plunk, and boom" group, get the info, then ask to join it. This post will probably be moved there and I'd hate for you not to be able to find it. That's where all the music lovers hang out.

I am satisfied with the ABB I have their 'entire career' would probably include stuff AFTER Duane & Berry which doesn't interest me at all. IMHO they are just another band without those two.

Like Little Feat withOUT Lowell = Little Feat Lite

See the SB PIF thread for some decent 70's Allman Brothers SBs

don't know about that they still put on some great shows after Duane & Berry's death. One of my favorite songs is a post Peach LP Enlighted Rouges with "It just ain't easy".

No right or wrong just my taste preference. The largest crowd I have ever been in was the ABB with Warren Haynes on geetar so lots of people agree with you
