C/D was released yesterday. "Take the Weather With You".

Great C/D. I've heard it several times on Sirius. There is also a tribute to New Orleans on the disk. I'll have favorite song line quotes in a few days.

I like Cinco de Mayo in Memphis; I'm disappointed that it, & most of the songs, weren't even partially written by Jimmy.

Breathe In, Breathe Out, Move On was a particularly poignant song. That was the Katrina song, and I can't get it out of my head.

I like Jimmy's earlier work more, but there are certain songs on each new album that really hit home. Certain songs reach me in a very particular way...Oysters and Pearls first among them.

While there are a few songs there you can have, most of them are quite good.

Breathe In, Breathe Out, Move On...

Breathe In, Breathe Out, Move On

(Jimmy Buffett and Matt Betton)

I bought a cheap watch from a crazy man
Floating down canal
It doesn't use numbers or moving hands
It always just says now
Now you may be thinking that I was had
But this watch is never wrong
And If I have trouble the warranty said
Breathe In, Breathe Out, Move On

And it rained, It was nothing really new
And it blew, we've seen all that before
And it poured, the Earth began to strain
Pontchartrain leaking through the door, tides at war

If a hurricane doesn't leave you dead
It will make you strong
Don't try to explain it just nod your head
Breathe In, Breathe Out, Move On

[Guitar Solo]

And it rained, It was nothing really new
And it blew, seen all that before
And it poured, the Earth began to strain
Pontchartrain buried the 9th Ward to the 2nd floor

According to my watch the time is now
Past is dead and gone
Don't try to shake it just nod your head
Breathe In, Breathe Out, Move On

Don't try to shake it just bow your head
Breathe In, Breathe Out, Move On

I like this release. All the songs flow well and there is no song that I feel like skipping. I heard an interview that JB did about the songs. He stated that on some songs both an upright and standard electric base was used.
I think it is also cool that Mark Knophler appears on Whoop dee do. A song that Knophler wrote.
