I love them for American brews. I love Sam Adams and Petes Wicked Lines. Nice tasting and aren't as watered down as most American beers.

Some are okay, others aren't IMHO. I prefer imported brews from the UK, Germany, and elsewhere. Just a matter of taste. Sam Adams is a highly respected name in the brewing business.

I generally prefer Brit beers, but recent dietary restrictions (I'm trying to lose weight) have forced me to try Sam Adams Light - which, surprisingly, tastes quite a bit like a real beer! So, I dig that one, and I'm also fond of the Cherry Wheat.

Don't like the Summer Ale and some of lighter beers they make. The darker ones, such as Boston Ale and Triple Bock, are right up there with the best.

Samuel Smiths is better IMO but better be because they're twice the price.

IMHO this once was a great beer. Within the past two years their Boston Lager has gone downhill. The hops nose has lessened along with the maltiness of the beer.

Dorman, I've heard a lot of people express that same opinion. I've heard rumors that Sam Adams is contracting out their larger brews to one of the big boys (Bud or Miller, can't remember which) Any thoughts on this?

Cheers,

Shawn

SA has contracted out the brewing of their beer for many years now.

Opening day approaches.

HockeySR2, SA has contract brewed brom the beginning. I know at one point Strohs was brewqing but I never heard that Bud or Miller brewed their beers. The changes I notice are typical when a brewery tries to cut costs. Cutback on the amount of malt, hops, fermentation or lagering time. Money makes the world go 'round.
