What's your preferred method of cutting your 'gars?
I'm not sure how cliche this question might be...but oh well, I thought I might stir up a little public opinion.
So what is your preferred method of cutting open those delicious 'gars of yours and why? For me.... 1. Double-Blade Cutter - either a guillotine or scissors, two blades makes a world of difference. I've always found that single bladed guillotines tend to crush your smoke a little and also it usually doesn't cut clear all the way through, leaving thos annoying little frayed pieces of the cap still sticking on. Double-bladed ones slice right through and give a lot of surface area for a nice, cool smoke. 2. Punch Cutter - I don't use this as much now as I used to. It's good for some smokes, not good for others (like ones that have a firm draw). I usually will use it if the cap on my cigar is looking really ratty, so that way I won't have to worry about it coming off and unraveling my wrapper. But that's just my , what do you think? |
