Yup. It's a "white beer" in the sense that it's usually very pale and cloudy. But it's made from a significant amount of wheat, along with barley. Unlike German "white" or wheat beers, though, it's unmalted wheat (which is where most of the cloudiness derives from). They usually have some spices in them, as well, coriander and bitter orange(?). And they tend to be lower in alcohol than weissbiers, as well.
