A newbie question on humidification

I am new to cigar storage and heard that some cigars retain moisture better than other types of cigars (honduran vs dominican). And because of this, one type of cigar could cause problems for the other type, which will cause humidification balancing problems in the humidor.

Should I be careful that I match up similar types of cigars in my humidor?
