My personal feeling is that active humidifcation is the only way to go with this unit. It's just way too big for passive.

As for the Oasis, I didn't try it with the regular one. Bob sent me the Oasis Extend because it has a much larger reservoir than the standard unit. For a cabinet this size, you need it! With the standard unit I'd be having to refill the reservoir a few times a month. Who needs that?

I'll post some pictures of the humidor with the Extend unit inside very soon. I'm thinking about making a couple modifications in the shelving to get better air circulation throughout the cabinet.
