I have done a simillar thing with polymer crystals (agrasoak). I found these small plastic test tubes that hold a single flower for a floral arrangement. Drilled holes in it and half filled with crystals. Imerse in water and you have a homemade DryMistat. I have found a similar product called a water pick at most craft stores. Those green plastic tubes with the pointy end also for floral arrangements. They work great and cost less than $1.00 to make. Drop one of these in your travel humidor and you are good to go.
