"Sherman" type traveldors
Does anyone have a good source for these? It would be similar to the Sherman/ Otter box type of large travel humidors that can hold around 30 sticks.
Thanks for any help! I've checked out www.otterbox.com and don't like their trays, so I'm looking around for options.

Jason, just out of curiosity, what don't you like about their trays?

I don't like the fact that the cigars can rub against each other. I was looking for more cell like trays.

the trays are flimsy. if you want to lift a tray out to get at smokes on the tray underneath, they flex and make it difficult to keep your smokes in place...takes two hands. The trays Vern makes are the way to go

Call Vern from Climax and have him make you a set of trays. They are pricey but WOW very nice. He can send you some pics. They are cedar trays with separate slots for each cigar with foam at the bottom of each slot to help pad the cigar.

trays
Aw shucks guys
Truth is even though the trays may be "PRICEY" I personally only make about 5 bucks an hour when I make them and I make enough for ten boxes at a time. But I am an Old Slow fart. Thanks for the good words guys, maybe if I get to the point that I am making larger batches I can actually start doing better than minum wage. |

Cigar Caddy 5540 is probably what you are looking for, they hold about 32 cigars. I don't know about the slide out cedar trays, its a good idea but i just care about them getting there in one piece and the flexible foam cushioning molds to the cigars so they don't move around. I usually pack them in the order I want to smoke them so i don't have to take them all out to get to the ones I want.
bargainhumidors and rockyscigars has them for reasonable prices. of course Vern is a good guy to deal with.
